Description
Villa Serenita is a large independent Umbria villa rental for up to 14 people located only 20 km from the picture–perfect town of Orvieto.
Thanks to its central position, the villa could be an easy starting point for day trips around this beautiful region. Umbria is probably less known than Tuscany, but is still an amazing region, rich with many medieval towns, wild landscapes and excellent food and wine.
Recently restored with utmost care and personally furnished with excellent taste by the owners, Villa Serenita has a perfect blending of modern taste and tradition. Beautiful pieces of antique furniture are combined with modern conveniences, such as air conditioning and Wi-Fi Internet connection. The property is surrounded by rolling hills, olive groves, and cultivated fields. The villa actually consists of two adjacent stone houses: the main house sleeps up to 10 people in five bedrooms and five bathrooms. Next to the main house, there is a smaller guest house, with two more bedrooms and two bathrooms, plus a laundry room. Thanks to its layout this property is perfect for family reunions or for 5-7 couples, excellent for a group that wants some privacy and also the chance to be together in one place. To facilitate mingling, there are many different outdoor spaces including the elegantly furnished “loggia” with comfortable couches and open views over the countryside, a second outdoor living room, a third “pergola” just next to the kitchen with table and chairs for 14 people, the panoramic pool, another furnished patio, and the tennis court. From here the view is even better! The property is surrounded by a manicured garden full of roses, lavender and other different kinds of flowers.
The surroundings are great! This beautiful, spacious farmhouse is set in a wonderful quiet position half way between Orvieto and Todi, in the heart of Umbria, surrounded by olive groves and cypress trees in a landscape modeled by centuries of farmers\' patient toil. The views encompass the Castle of Guardea stretch as far as the town of Orvieto, across the rolling countryside.
On the ground floor of the main house you enter through a first living room furnished with a comfortable Chesterfield couch, a couple of armchairs, desk with computer, TV with Satellite. Next is the large living room with working fireplace and comfortable sofas and armchairs (this room seats up to 14 guests). Double doors open to the covered “loggia”, a perfect place where one can relax and enjoy the bucolic view drinking a glass of red wine. Next to the living room is the spacious dining room (with seating for up to 16 people) with working fireplace. The large well-equipped kitchen (5-burner gas stove, oven, separate fridge/freezer, double sinks, dishwasher, microwave, American coffee maker, kettle) has a separate dining area, working fireplace, table for eight, and double doors opening to a dining patio and second outdoor living room. Also on this floor is a guest bathroom, air conditioned double bedroom (king size bed) with separate sitting room, walk-in closet, and ensuite bathroom with bathtub and separate shower.
The first floor consists of four double bedrooms all with lovely views over the rolling hills and the countryside. Each bedroom is air conditioned and has an ensuite bathroom. Two are equipped with king beds, and the other three have twin beds that can be put together upon request.
In the annex there are two more air conditioned bedrooms and a large laundry room. One twin/double bedroom (twins can be put together) has double doors leading out to the garden, and an ensuite bathroom with shower. The other double bedroom (queen bed) also has a door leading out to garden, an ensuite bathroom with shower, and a TV. The laundry room, with direct entrance from the terrace, has two washing machines and a dryer.
Outdoors offers two covered terraces, a large pool with 14 sunbeds and panoramic views, olive groves, a comfortable hammock, tennis courts (synthetic and not floodlit), barbecue, and covered parking for up to six cars.

Famous destinations include Todi, Spoleto, Assisi and Perugia, but it is also possible to wander away from the most beaten tourist track to explore smaller treasure like Civita di Bagnoregio, in Lazio, or the spectacular gardens of the Castello di Vignanello near Viterbo at only 46 km away.
