Villa Girona is situated on the edge of a small, historical town. The stone facades of the main and outer buildings of this one-time farmhouse are those of a traditional country estate. Inside, one discovers a contemporary renovation offering elegance and comfort. The well-equipped kitchen is a cook’s dream. The vast open-plan living room is surrounded by windows and is accented by a grand piano. This house is ideal for couples, as most bedrooms include en suite bathrooms. For extended families, the guest wing offers flexibility and additional privacy. Across the courtyard, an artist studio can be used as an extra bedroom. While one side of the property adjoins the village (and convenient services), the main views from the house extend across private gardens and open countryside. Best of all is its close proximity to Catalunya’s star attractions – Girona, the Costa Brava, Figueras, and the Pyrénées. Barcelona is only an hour south.

Villa Girona sleeps a maximum of 10 adults and three children or young people in eight bedrooms with five bathrooms. The bright, contemporary dine-in kitchen is fully equipped with a professional gas range, oven, fridge/freezer, microwave, dishwasher, food processor, coffee maker, and washing machine and dryer. The large, second floor living/dining area offers a fireplace, grand piano, wrap-around windows and a spacious terrace. Outdoors visitors can enjoy expansive private grounds with carefully tended gardens and duck pond, a new swimming pool (with a complete kitchen, shower and WC), and an outdoor dining area with furniture and a barbeque.

Nearby diversions (within 30 minutes) include the town of Girona (historic Jewish quarter, fine restaurants and shopping), Figueras (Dali museum), La Bisbal (ceramics and antiques), and picturesque Besalu. Costa Brava beaches and seaside towns can be reached within 45 - 60 minutes, and Barcelona is an hour away.
