Set in a sunny, peaceful rural spot near Scicli, a charming baroque town and Unesco heritage site, this villa is the ideal retreat for those seeking privacy, comfort and relaxation. Surrounded by a large natural park with typical dry-stone walls, Villa Contrada offers spacious, well-equipped terraces and a lovely saltwater infinity pool. This old rural farmhouse has recently been restored with high quality natural materials and converted into an exclusive private residence. Spread over one level, it includes six comfortable bedrooms (one of which is in a loft), six luxurious bathrooms, a large kitchen (fridge/freezer, stove, oven, microwave, dishwasher, espresso machine, kettle, toaster, highchair) and a living room with fireplace. The cozy interior, in perfect harmony with the style of the building, was carefully designed with comfort in mind and comes with air conditioning, Wi-Fi, satellite TV, washing machine and dishwasher. Villa Contrada is also an excellent base for exploring the jewels of southeast Sicily: from the amazing beaches and charming fishing villages of Sampieri, Donnalucata, Punta Secca, Marina di Ragusa, Poropalo and Marzamemi to the delightful baroque towns of Scicli, Modica, Ragusa Ibla, Noto and Syracuse; from the archeological sites of Kamarina and Cava d’Ispica to the Vendicari nature reserve.

We really enjoyed staying at this villa. It’s perfect for large groups, as everyone can have a bit of space but come together when they want to. If you have kids as there is lots of space and the grounds are fully enclosed so you can just let them run wild. The layout has been really well thought through. The bedrooms feel like hotel suites with lots of space, ample storage and exceptional bathrooms with powerful showers. Stefania has a really good eye for design and if you are looking for a chic and stylish villa you won’t be disappointed. The kitchen was really well equipped and spacious and we really enjoyed cooking here. The owners are really helpful and clearly care about their guests having a good time. I’m sure we will be back! We had a truly wonderful holiday - one of our best. It began with the exceptional and memorable meal that was cooked for us. The house was perfect for our two families and an ideal escape from our busy London lives. All the details in the house were very much appreciate from the lovely decoration/ en suites to the very well equipped kitchen and the beautiful garden/ pool. We also followed lots of your recommendations which were great - Gli Aroma and the beach restaurant in Marina di Ragusa were particular highlights. We also had very nice meal at Locanda del Colonnello in Modica on Sunday. The children were in heaven all week. There is so much to do in Sicily and we need more time!
