Description
In Paradou, a charming Provençal village nestled between Fontvieille and Maussane-les-Alpilles, Villa Alpilles stands as a symbolic landmark. The villa takes its name from Santa Maria de Castillone, which was the village's name until 981.
A majestic plane tree, over 300 years old, stands sentinel over the villa, which once served as both the village town hall and public school. Today, the laughter of children has given way to tranquility in the expansive park of this private residence, where one can relax and enjoy a meal beneath the tree's shade. The striking facade, with its warm hues, large arches, and stone lintels, reflects the craftsmanship of days gone by. The infinity pool, along with the lush gardens and groves, offers a refreshing retreat from the heat of the Provençal sun.
NOTE: IT IS A SUNDAY TO SUNDAY RENTAL IN MID AND HIGH SEASON AND A 4 NIGHTS MINIMUM THE REST OF THE YEAR.

The interior design of this Provençal mas reflects the signature style the domaine. Architects Liliana and Alain Meylan expertly blend traditional materials with modern comforts and unique creations, giving each space its own distinct charm. Heavy wooden beams and antique doors are paired with Mediterranean-inspired blown glass lighting, creating a bohemian atmosphere.
Thick natural jute rugs complement raffia lampshades adorned with golden fringes, resting on artisanal ceramic or scalloped wrought-iron lamp bases. Handmade side tables, crafted from a mix of resin and walnut wood, and rope-woven sun-shaped sconces from Honoré, along with stone bas-relief lamps from Di Fretto Studio, add an elegant yet inspiring touch. The decor feels sophisticated and artistic, like the curtains featuring printed and embroidered branches, climbing delicately against a raw silk backdrop, evoking the grace of entwining vines.
Villa Alpilles can accommodate 14 guests with its 7 roomsand suites, all air-conditioned and equipped with independentbathrooms, with walk-in limestone showers and dressing rooms. Each one is different, but each time we find King size beds, darkparquet floors and natural organic materials, with lime coatings,in soothing shades of color, without forgetting those little detailsthat make the difference, like this copper bathtub with lion's feet, which recalls what the art of living was in other times.
