In Ano Daratso, Villa Alegria is a Crete luxury villa rental that has 5 bedrooms that can sleep 10 guests and is about 5 km from Chania (or Hania). The villa is built in five semi levels in exclusive style and sophisticated architecture with floor to ceiling windows that lead the eye to wander while the living areas help you to relax in thier simplicity and sumptuousness. The private areas (the bedrooms) on the other hand have absolute privacy from each other due to the intricate floor plan of the villa. The outside of the villa has a series of tended terraces that lead up to the villa and pool. The large private pool is surrounded by a lush garden looking out to the view of the town and sea. All this may make it challenging for you to leave the villa and enjoy all that the island remains to offer. Located near Chania, the capital of the West of Crete, this city has over 60,000 inhabitants. Chania is probably the best place for shopping in Crete, has plenty of nightlife for all tastes, great choice of restaurants, its own beach in the western part of the town, and \"The old town\" is a journey back in time and is referred to as the Venice in rags. A 15-minute walk from the house is the beach of Agious Apostolous, which has recently been tagged a protected archaeological area. The area encompasses a series of sandy beach gulfs, a nature park, archaeological sites, and a couple of beach bars. The area has had laws passed to limit the amount of development and the area remains unspoiled. The villa is walking distance to several tavernas, walking distance to a bakery, a butcher, and produce stores. There is also a separate guesthouse on site at the villa located near the main house that has its own bedroom, bathroom, and kitchenette. The guesthouse is perfect for anyone traveling with assisting personnel (e.g. nannies) you may wish to be separated from by a separate entrance. The guesthouse also works well with a separate traveling party such as extended family members or family friends.
Villa Alegria is roughly 400 sq meters and it is built on 5 semi-levels. The whole house has air-conditioning and central heating, with every floor having a large terrace except for the floor with the master bedroom. The living and dining room area has an open concept with the living/dinning room area opening onto a balcony/terrace with an outdoors table for dinning and enjoying the spectacular view. In the living room there is a flat screen 42\" plasma T.V., DVD player, VCR, stereo system, sofa, chair, lounge-sofa, and dining table that extends to seat 10 guests. The kitchen with breakfast area and walk-in pantry closet, is fully equipped with; refrigerator, stove, oven, microwave, and dishwasher. This area of the house also has a W/C for guest use. A laundry area (washer and dryer) is located on the ground floor as well as a gym room (gym equipment includes treadmill and multi-gym amongst others). The bedrooms are a master bedroom, with en-suite bathroom with Jacuzzi tub, a separate shower, and a walk-in closet (no outdoor terrace). The second bedroom is the 2nd master bedroom with en suite shower room and large terrace with panoramic view and is located on the top floor. Bedrooms three and four have 2-twin beds/1 king and a queen size bed respectively. They share a full bathroom and open out to a terrace and garden. The fifth bedroom is located in a separate adjoining guesthouse/suite at the back of the villa with a bathroom and kitchenette. The top floor of the villa has a home cinema area with a projector and screen. The large balcony/terrace off of the top floor of the villa offers great views. The villa has 2 indoor garages. Everything you could need for a toddler is available (cots, seats, gates, boiler, etc.), though traveling with a small child would mean a lot of supervision due to the edgy architecture, stairs, and openings to floors below. Outdoors is the large pool (900 square feet) with outdoor Jacuzzi, a Gas BBQ, Patio Furniture, and a large landscaped garden. A study area can be set up in a room with a desk, a PC (WI-FI Internet connection), and printer. There is also a family Room with billiard table, Foosball, and children\'s play area. Prices are for a maximum of 10 guests.

There is an additional fee for holding a wedding at the Villa (300 euro) to cover additional cleaning costs of the staff.
