A covered wraparound deck connects the villa\'s entry stairs and walkway to the front of the property and to the sparkling infinity-edged pool and sun decks - or you can walk right out the living area door and jump into the pool, or enjoy an alfresco meal cooked on the gas grill accompanied by memorable ocean vistas and cool trade winds. A second walkway connects the pool deck with the rear of the property, the natural landscaping and decks, and to a small separate pavilion which contains laundry facilities. The Trade Winds is just a few minutes\' drive to the white sands of Magens Bay beach, but you may find it hard to leave! The main level contains the delightful living area and a windowed dining alcove overlooking ocean views. Two steps down is the complete kitchen colorfully decorated in cheerful blue tile and equipped with a cappuccino machine, wine cooler and everything a cook needs. Also on the main level are the queen bedroom/bath suite with french doors opening out to the verandah, and an adjoining lounge/home office featuring DSL service for your laptop, a printer and fax. A sturdy spiral staircase winds up to The Trade Wind’s upper level, a cozy loft offering a king bedroom/bath suite with its own private balcony right outside which overlooks the beautiful vistas of blue, pool, ocean and sky.
The U.S. Virgin Island of St. Thomas, 33 square miles in size, boasts a sophisticated international ambience, azure sea, beautiful white sand beaches and dazzling vistas from the cliffs above the beaches. You’ll find amazing natural beauty along with fine hotels and eating establishments, incredible duty-free shopping, and access to the beautiful palm fringed beaches. There are 44 beaches on St. Thomas, all of which are open to the public (some of the beaches charge a small entrance fee to cover maintenance.) Many sports activities are available on the island including SCUBA diving, windsurfing, golf and tennis to name a few. Visit the quaint port town of Charlotte Amalie (the most popular cruise port in the Caribbean) where you’ll find white and pastel houses against a backdrop of emerald hills, colorful boats that dock along the waterfront, and many shops and restaurants. You can also visit the island’s historic attractions such as Blackbeard’s Castle, Crown House atop Blackbeard’s Hill (now private residence but once the Danish governor’s home), and the old Lutheran parsonage.
