Description

Menaggio Retreat 2 is the lower level of Menaggio Retreat 1 and is directly on the lake shore, overlooking the bay of Nobiallo and its marina . It sleeps 12 in 6 double en-suite bedrooms. There are unique and modern Italian furnishings through out. The ground floor unit and the upper unit can be offered separately or together. Please see Menaggio Retreat 1 for entire property. They each have their own entrance and kitchen facilities.

Menaggio Retreat 2 is on the ground floor and has an impressive 130 m2 panoramic lake front terrace, furnished with deckchairs and dining corner. There is a spa/whirlpool, with hydro massages, on the panoramic terrace. There are also two covered patios.

Underneath the villa is a large marina where sailboats and speedboats are moored. Guests are welcome to bring their own boat or rent a boat from the villa. It\'s easy to explore the lake by water starting at your door step . Sailing lessons, speedboat rentals, small motorboat rentals, or taxi boat rentals can be provided.

The villa is appropriate for children but adults are preferred. Pets can be considerd.

The large, open living room, dining room and kitchen look out onto Lake Como and the terrace. The furnishings are contemporary with a clean, crisp look. Guests are sure to spend most of their time on the beautiful terrace admiring the beauty of Lake Como. Meals can be eaten inside or outside. The six bedrooms are all very similar and all have queen size beds or two twin beds upon request and en-suite bathrooms with showers. The entire villa is air-conditioned and there is wifi access throughout.

Menaggio Retreat 2 is 1.5 km from Menaggio city-centre, a lovely little town which has a magnificent position halfway along the western shores of the lake. It has a lively lake side boulevard, nice shopping center, excellent ice cream parlors, busy weekly market for your “Italian bargains”, pleasure harbor, boat stop to cross over to Bellagio, Varenna and other places, Minigolf, “ Lido” beach area with swimming pools, entertainment and good restaurants.

Back in medieval times Menaggio was a fortified trading center. The castle can still be visited. From Menaggio cross over to Porlezza, or hop into Switzerland.

The Villa is a lovely vacation spot. It is nicely appointed with 6 bedrooms (each with its own bath), a very spacious living area and a modern kitchen. The deck is big with plenty of furniture, and overlooks the lake. The villa was spotless and comfortable. Plenty of parking. It was a 15-20 minute walk into town, although parking was a little tough in town when we drove (although we had two big vans for our extended family). Laura was very helpful in arranging dinner reservations, an onsite chef, a day on the lake and answering other questions. We had a fantastic time and would recomend this villa to anyone looking to stay on Lake Como.

We were a group of 13 and we had an awesome week. The house is very spacious and clean, has everything you need. The pictures keep their promise. The terracce is huge, we all enjoyed the jaccuzzi, the view at the lake and the mild climate. Great vacation!

Went to the Villa with 11 of my friends and family for my 30th birthday. The place is stunningly beautiful, a tea holiday escape! It is a short walk into the village which is very pleasant. Laura could not do enough for us, even booking us in a restaurant for our late arrival on the first night. V helpful! I would recommend Johann and Anna to come and cook for you too as the food was fantastic in a very special setting. We will be back again soon! Wonderful people, wonderful place.

The Villa is perfectly equipped for a relaxing holiday. We stayed in the spacious 6 bedroom apartment and with 12 of us there it never felt crowded, everyone had a place to sit and relax. The huge terrace overlooking the lake was fantastic and the jacuzzi was enjoyed by all. The kitchen is very well organised for cooking your own meals if you choose to, but we can also highly recommend the “chef in your kitchen” experience. The villa also includes the use of bikes which are a great way to get to nearby Menaggio with all it’s amenities, including a bakery and supermarket. The landlady, Laura, was very attentive to every detail and was always on hand to offer help, guidance or advice when needed from simple operating instructions to fantastic day trips. We had a fantastic time in this Villa and would highly recommend it.

The location walking distance to the town if Menaggio and right on the lake was awe inspiring. Laura and her family were so helpful and friendly with all details. We had our six adult children, their spouses and a couple of grandbabies with us and the layout gave everyone adequate space and privacy. We had many great games, laughs, and discussions on the incredible deck overlooking the awesome view of the lake and mountains. If you can book the chef Johann and Anna it will be a culinary treat and a night to remember. Laura handled that and so any other details. Worth every penny.
