Description
Château Normandie is located in the department of Eure in the region of Upper Normandy. It is reputed to be one of the three most beautiful chateau in the Eure built in the 18th century. The chateau was erected at the end of the reign of Louis XV by Philippe of Faÿ and, in fact, the arms of the family of Faÿ adorn the pediment of the entrance gate to the chateau. It combines the charm of a rural location with the nobility of brick and stone construction of the mid 18th century. In addition to the large manor house, the property also includes a chapel and four side pavilions/cottages, which together can accommodate up to 96 guests. Chateau Normandie has been completely restored to its eighteenth century grandeur with much of the original woodwork, Versailles parquet floors, and masonry remaining intact.

The Chateau:
The area is 1200m² (13,000 sqft). The ground floor has four spacious lounges and a large kitchen. Two upper floors are dedicated to the 19 bedrooms and bathrooms. The large basement has splendid cellars converted into a games\' room and a museum dedicated to antique bookends.
The 19 bedrooms of the chateau were refurbished in 2009 (17 double bed rooms, 2 singles rooms). Each has been decorated with great care and tastefully furnished with antiques. The decor remains faithful to the 18th century with wood paneling, tapestries and paintings. Each double room has a king or queen size bed and is equipped with a modern private bathroom. Extra beds and cots are also available. Two bedrooms communicate with each other for families wishing to stay nearby children. There is also a handicapped accessible room.
Four lounges are available in the chateau for relaxation and group gatherings. Spread over 220m2, they are located on the ground floor. The lounges feature charming decorations and antique 18th century artwork and artifacts. Each room is styled differently though they all remain true to the building\'s architecture. Each with its own fireplace, they are defined as warm, bright and calm. WiFi and business equipment are available in our fully equipped rooms (projector, tables, chairs).
There is a fully-equipped kitchen on the ground floor of the chateau and a large professional one, which is attached to the mirror room.
Cottages (not included in the rental price): The property offers four outbuildings to accommodate a larger number of guests.
