Chateau Charente is the ideal place to celebrate your love or special moments with special people. This elegant and charming venue, filled with moments of history, is available for exclusive rental for your lovely day. Set in the heart of a 19-hectacre park, the main chateau offers 660 sqm and can accommodate up to 24 guests.

* With its adjoining buildings, the entire estate offers accommodation for up to 91 guests.

The chateau was completely renovated in 2016, decorated with great care and tastefully furnished with antique furniture. The owners were able to maintain its 19th century charm while adding a chic and modern touch.

CHATEAU:
- A ground floor of 300sqm with 2 luxury lounges, 2 dining rooms, a large kitchen and one ensuite bedroom
- 2 floors dedicated to bedrooms and bathrooms with 2 living rooms. 1st floor of 300sqm - 2nd floor of 60sqm
- The banqueting salon and professionally equipped kitchen (up to 120 people seated/240 standing – 120sqm)
- The pool Hall (up to 60 seated guests/120 standing – 60sqm)

There is A/C in the grand salon only. One-meter thick walls maintain the chateau cool inside during the summer months

- 4 lodges for 4 people (16 people). 4 people each and one disabled housing(sleeps up to 16 guests)

APARTMENT:

3 Night Minimum Stay!

Prices listed are for 24 guests. For larger groups, please inquire for prices of the cottages and extra accommodations.

For a relaxing stay, four lounges are available in the chateau. They offer a charming, chic 19th century decoration style: 2 Satellite TV lounges (CNN, BBC) and 2 dining rooms (one for 22 guests and another for 12 guests). The rooms have been completely refurbished in the utmost respect of traditions with period woodwork and moldings. Each with their own fireplace, the rooms are warm, bright and calm.

Activities at or near the Chateau + basic equipment for the following games are available at the château:

I always knew getting married in a French Chateau was going to be unforgettable but the Chateau is a truly magical place. I spent months researching other Chateau's and nothing came close to it. The size of it and history really blew me away and meant all of our guests could be together for the whole week. Not only is the Chateau restored and kept beautifully the grounds are truly spectacular. The tree lined alley is truly a majestic place. I knew from the minute I saw it on photographs that I wanted my ceremony to take place there. It didn\\\'t disappoint, the sun was sparkling through the trees and bats were flying around! I will never forget it. It was the perfect setting to say 'I do'.The most important thing for us was when planning our wedding was that we didn't want a package wedding which you find a lot when getting married abroad. We wanted the freedom of creating our own wedding with our own style and at Chateau Elegant the opportunities are endless. The grounds are so huge and varied, you can have your wedding as unique as you like. We also like to party and didn't want anyone telling us we had to turn the music off or down by a certain time.Another plus to book this place was that the Chateau manager Tiphaine is also a weddingplanner. It gave me confidence to trust her as she knows the place and area inside and out, shehas a huge suppliers list that she has experience working with and she was amazing atnegotiating great prices for us (in French). We couldn't of done it without her. She was patient and organized and went above and beyond her position to help not only plan the wedding day but the wedding week! She helped us organize many activities during our stay which wasn't an easy task when your trying to manage 55 people who keep changing their minds every other day! She was fantastic, I cannot recommend her enough and I will miss our Skype calls and emails. I had guests coming from all over the world so it was great having Poitiers international airport 60minutes away and the train station for links from Paris. The place is perfect and has everything you need.My guests were blown away by the chateau, the children had a fantastic time everyone said it was one of the best week of their lives and some even said it was the wedding of the century!It is a wonderful place and I know we'll be back again to visit in the future.

We had a wonderful stay at the château on December 21 and 22, 2024; the 40 guests were able to fully appreciate the quality of the reception venue and its accommodations. We also appreciated the quality of the welcome and Erwan's availability. We recommend this venue for organizing receptions; we give it a rating of 5/5.

Perfect stay in this castle for Christmas. Erwan, who welcomed us, was very pleasant, attentive, and professional. The place is perfect for a festive family event: the setting, the decor, and the grounds immerse you in a warm and exotic cocoon. Royal! Visited in December 2024

Magnificent location. A starry sky, a magnificent sunrise. Very beautiful furniture. A large (and small) piano. A perfect room for dancing, partying, (or acroyoga). A space with 3 kitchens. 3 small chalets set apart from the main space but very comfortable. We rented for a week and it was truly a Chateau du Bonheur!
