Description
Artist\'s Haven is a three bedroom, three-story apartment with mezzanine levels. It features high ceilings with exposed beams, tall windows, antique French oak floors, wrought iron details and an interior layout as surprising and complex as Picasso’s finest work. The apartment is located in a listed 17th century building, which has a particularly exquisite staircase.
With exceptional height and two large windows, the main salon, located on the entry level, features multiple original artworks as well as a spacious seating area. The salon’s focal point is a large antique tapestry, and this is paired with other unique art pieces both modern and classic. The room also offers a decorative fireplace, large area rugs, comfortable couch, and antique furnishings. Just above the salon, in a lofted area, you will find a quiet sitting area overlooking the main room. The sofa here can convert to a bed for a single guest.
Sharing the first level with the salon are the fully-equipped kitchen, dining area, one of the three bedrooms, and a WC with washbasin.
With seating for six, the marble dining table sits before a double window and is also lit by a contemporary chandelier. Separated from the dining area by a tall bar, the kitchen is fully equipped and features tile floors, a lovely curio shelf with antique items, and lots of cabinet and counter space.
The bedroom on this level has two single beds that can also be converted to a king-size bed. This room features a floor-to-ceiling window, writing desk, flat screen television, large area rugs, and stairs up to a mezzanine level. This mezzanine has a child’s single bed and can be observed from below.
On your way up to the second level, also at the mezzanine level, you will find a bathroom with shower, washbasin and WC, all styled in contemporary fashion and blue tiles. On the upper level, a bedroom with a queen-size bed can be found. This room has wooden ceiling beams, storage space, and a workstation.
Accessed through the main salon, the lowest level of the apartment houses the master bedroom. With queen-size bed, antique rugs, and modern art, this room is well styled and comfortable. Just below this bedroom you will find the gym and a bathroom. This bathroom is tiled in white and black and offers a bathtub, shower, and washbasin. There is also a separate WC at this level for added privacy.
The size and layout of this charming apartment makes it a perfect choice for a family or friends traveling together.
Please note that on the mezzanine level ceiling height can be lower so very tall people will want to stay in the ground floor bedroom. This apartment also has several winding staircases so this might not be an ideal apartment for small children, elderly and people with walking difficulties.
