The Academy houses one of the finest art collections in Italy, reviewing Venetian painting from the 14th century to the 18th century. St. Mark\'s square is also a short walk away. Take a tour along the Grand Canal in a steamer starting from St. Mark\'s Square to see the canal at its best.

The bedrooms and living room are on the front of the house with a very nice view over the canal and plenty of light and sun. The first bedroom has an elegant queen size bed, and ensuite bath with tub. The second bedroom has two twin beds with framed tapestries behind the headboard. A bathroom with shower is adjacent to this bedroom.

This fourth floor apartment has exposed old wood beam ceilings. The apartment is carefully decorated with many antique pieces. The living room has an elegant sitting area including a sofa/trundle bed which can sleep two. A table for dining is also in the living room. The kitchen has a stove, oven, refrigerator and dishwasher. There is also a clothes washer in the apartment. The apartment is heated and equipped with a mobile air conditioning unit.The owner recently put at disposal of all clients of the Palazzo a computer with high speed internet access available 24 hours / day at no charge. The owner also provides a cellular phone to use while in Venice. NO ELEVATOR.

I stayed at the Palazzetto for the first time some years ago, and was happy to come back now with friends. It was as lovely as I had remembered it. We stayed in the apartment overlooking the canal, which is simply beautiful. We enjoyed having two large, tastefully decorated bedrooms with their own bathrooms plus an elegant, comfortable, big living room with family antiques. Especially space is something hard to find in Venetian hotels, when you want to stay in a tasteful place for reasonable prices. A warm welcome with best explanations and recommendations made us feel at home in an instant. The owner also lives in this beautiful house and was always there when we had any questions or needed something, always being helpful and very friendly. There is also a nice garden which may be used by the guests. We felt most welcome in her home. I travel a lot and have seen many hotels and appartments - this is definitely one of the nicest places ever, also because of it's personality. I don't want to stay anywhere else in Venice, and so do my friends. Sleeping with open windows, listening to nothing but some water in the canal at night, and waking up with a beautiful view in one of Venice's nicest neighbourhoods is a wonderful experience. The location is just perfect, close to all the places we wanted to go. We can't wait to come back!
